Terms of Use
Last updated: October 22, 2026
The service
QRGen is a free tool that converts content you provide — links, text, contact details or Wi-Fi credentials — into QR code images, entirely within your own browser, so you can download and use them wherever you like.
Your responsibility
- You are responsible for the content you encode and for everything a scanner reaches through your codes, including the accuracy, legality and safety of the destinations.
- Static QR codes cannot be changed after they are created or printed. Always verify the encoded content and test-scan before distributing or printing in quantity.
- You are responsible for deciding where a code is displayed; a Wi-Fi code, for example, grants network access to anyone who can see it.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site to create codes that point to malware, phishing, or otherwise unlawful content; to impersonate any person or brand; or to interfere with the operation of the site. Automated bulk abuse of the site is prohibited.
Trademarks
"QR Code" is a registered trademark of Denso Wave Incorporated. QRGen is an independent tool, is not affiliated with or endorsed by Denso Wave, and uses the term descriptively to describe the standard code format this tool generates.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that a generated code will scan in every environment — factors such as print size, contrast, surface and lighting affect scanning, and our best practices guide describes how to get reliable results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site or the codes created with it.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
